SEWS CABIND POLAND – CSR social contribution activity July 2020

As a Sumitomo Electric Company (SEG), SEWS CABIND POLAND strives to develop CSR initatives in line with the core principles.

On July 28th 2020, at the initiative of employees the company took up the challenge to help a small girl of 19 months old who has been diagnosed with SMA spinal muscular atrophy.

It began with #GaszynChallenge, a charity initiative very popular in Poland due to an action launched by voluntary fire-fighters from a village in Poland „Gaszyn”. They supported another kid who also was suffering from a serious health condition.

This callenge involves employees / groups of people gathering together (social distancing respected) to do 10 push-ups or 10 squats. If it’s accomplished, 5 PLN for each person doing the challenge is donated to a commendable purpose, usually toward the expensive medical treatment of these ill small children.

Every challenge is filmed and companies can nominate other companies. SEWS CABIND POLAND was nominated by APTIV company.

125 of our employees participated in #GaszynChallenge, here are some images of the event.

In these unprecented times, every action counts to bring effective support to those most in need.
