Safety First

Zero injuries

SEWS-CABIND annually receives and circulates internally the “Global” security campaigns promoted by Sumitomo Wiring System. These communications usually come in poster size, which are pinned up on our notice boards in all production sites. The campaigns are also featured on our intranet.

The achievement of the “Zero Injuries” objective within each office and production plant at a global level is considered a top priority.

Safety First

“Safety First” is not just a slogan consistently used by SEWS-CABIND but a real implementation process aimed at continuously improving our daily actions. Steady growth, in concrete terms, on six key themes:

  • Safety
  • Environment
  • Quality
  • Cost
  • Delivery
  • Research and Development
Safety First

Internally the six key themes are merged under the abbreviation: SEQCDD and jointly represent the most important aspect of the Sumitomo Electric Group’s Business Activities.

For SEWS-CABIND, the issues related to “Safety & Environment” are an integral part of the company system and represent the outcome of actions undertaken by multiple actors, employees included.

In order to increase employees and guests’ security, and having full understanding of the actions with an environmental impact, the Safety & Environment team constantly works at improving the monitoring system of activities.

Safety, Quality and Environment Certification

SEWS-CABIND currently has obtained the following certification: ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001:2007, Quality Policy, IATF 16949:2016 (SCP / SCM) e ISO 9001:2015.

Furthermore, the production plants in Morocco are equipped with a photovoltaic system, developed under the farsighted project “Smart Energy Innovator” of the hosting country, which involves others SEI Group Companies as well.

On the topic of environment, electrical systems of the latest low-power generation have been installed in our production plants. While the promotion of the continuous improvement policy (Kaizen), the optimization of solutions already implemented and the continuous research of new improvement methods are all included within specific “Best Practices” tools of the Sumitomo Group..
